HD Press - Assembly Instructions

Upon Arrival: Check HD Press for shipping damage. In case of shipping damage, contact HD Industrial Design immediately. 

PARTS BREAKDOWN: 
  • HD Press
  • 1 Ball Valve with Threaded PVC Fitting
  • 1 Vacuum Gauge with PVC Elbow and Fitting
  • 2 Screws
  • 1 Handle with 2 Screws
  • 25 Magnets (20 for use, 5 for spares)
  • 1 Heat Sink
  • 1 Membrane
  • 2 Lid Stops

Do not separate pre-assembled parts. i.e. vacuum gauge and elbow.

ASSEMBLY

Step 1: Install Handle – To install the handle, hand tighten to a snug fit without over tightening.

Step 2: Install Lid Stops

Step 3: Install vacuum gauge – hand tighten to a snug fit.

Step 4: Install Ball Valve – Hand tighten to a snug fit.

Step 5: Place magnets (small hole side up) on top of screw heads on the front corners and center of the press.

Step 6: Remove plastic film from membranes. Place silicone on base of press, then line up hinge slots and edges.

Step 7: After membrane is in place, gently close the lid. Open the lid and the membrane should drape in place.

Step 8: Simply place the other magnets around the lid and you are done!

TIP FOR RESETTING MEMBRANE:  
Remove magnets from existing membrane. Align membrane on press base with hinge slots and edges, then roll back edge to place magnets. Once magnets are in place, flip silicone back down and close lid. Place remaining magnets.

WARNING:
  • DO NOT EXPOSE HEAT TO THE ACRYLIC
  • DO NOT DRILL OR TAP THE ACRYLIC
  • DO NOT CARRY PRESS BY THE LID
  • DO NOT PULL VACUUM WITHOUT HEATSINK IN PLACE
  • KEEP  PRESS AT LEAST 12” FROM  HEAT SOURCE (OVEN, HEAT PRESS, ETC.)
  • TAKE CARE NOT TO CROSSTHREAD FITTINGS 
  • DO NOT MOLD DIRECTLY ON VACUUM GRID (USE HEAT SINK)
  • BE GENTLE WITH MAGNETS
