Neodymium Magnets. These rare earth magnets are used in our vacuum press magnet lock system.
Compatible with all HD 2424, 3624 and custom press sizes.
Please note: Not compatible with HD 100, 200 and 300 press sizes due to strength and size.
Overall they are always on point with their products. The magnets are prone to cracking and chipping due to their high and I mean high magnetism.
Q: I was replacing the membrane on my HD Press and the magnet broke. What can I do to prevent this in the future?
A: Neodymium Magnets are very strong, but also very brittle. They should be handled with care. Avoid releasing magnets to press more than 1-2" away. These magnets are very powerful and can accelerate a great speeds toward each other and toward ferrous material. When these magnets come together quickly, they can shatter and break sending particles at high speed. These magnets can also pinch strongly if allowed to come together against the skin. Q: How do I separate magnets that are stuck together?
A: Use a flat surface with an edge such as a table or countertop. Hold the magnet roll on the table. Push one magnet at a time off the end of the roll over the leading edge of the table down and away. Keep it away from the other magnet(s) once separated.
Q: To what temperature can Neodymium magnets be subjected before they start losing their magnetic force?
A: 176 degrees Fahrenheit.
Q: How long will Neodymium magnets last?
A: 400 years...if not subjected to sharp impacts or higher than rated temperatures. ;)
Q: What else do I need to know about the magnets used with the HD vacuum press?
A: Neodymium Magnets are very strong for such a small magnet. Please handle them with care to prevent personal injuries, property damage, and damage to the magnet itself. Our vacuum formers are usually used in an adult, professional environment, but just in case they are not, here are some hazards you may not be aware of.

A: 1/2" Diameter
